2002 Photos

Home Up

The 2002 Buffalo road trip took place on the weekend of November 2-4.  The Patriots were victorious for the second year in a row by a resounding 38-7 score.   In our second year we added three more guys.  We also took a lot more pictures.  Chris V., Ed G. and Tom M. joined the originals, Steve B., Bruce M. and Bill M.   We drove instead of taking the train.  This proved to be not only faster, but more comfortable and relaxed.  We took Bruce's truck and rented a mini-van.  Enjoy the 2002 photos from Buffalo.

2002 Minus Bill

Bill's taking this one.  Ed G. is the one next to Tom.

Peek-a-boo!   We eat ham and jam and Spam a lot!

Peek-a-boo at Niagara Falls (left)!  This picture reminded us of the still shot taken from the film classic, "Monty Python and The Holy Grail".

Puff Puff

Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Don't slip.

I can hear Niagara Falls.  I just can't see Niagara Falls.
Who's idea was it to come here at night?

Ed, Chris and Bruce

Bill, Tom and Bruce

The back of Bill's head when he still had hair, Tom and Bruce.

Ummm....

Bill is trying to figure out where he left his Troy Brown
jersey as we get ready to head to the game.

Bill, Bruce and Tom waiting to leave for the game.

Bill, Bruce and Tom supervise as Steve, Ed and Chris load the truck.

Ready to head out!

Steve signals that we're finally ready to go.  Get used to seeing that thumbs-up.

Tailgating at The Ralph.

Tailgating gets underway.  Dark skies ahead for the Bills.   Bruce had the #3-Earnhardt

jersey made to honor the late NASCAR legend.

Friendlies!

Outside The Ralph with some friendlies.

Fire!

Tailgating is always good.  Those unruly Bills fans in the
back-ground almost burned down The Ralph, though.

Tom enjoys the day.

Tom doesn't seem to be bothered by that Bills fan with the pink hat.

Pats fans unite!

Most of us are mixed in here with the friendlies.
Check out that blue guy on the left, huh?

Tom should have elbowed that guy in the head.

There's that guy with the pink hat again!

Tailgating.

The simple pleasure of tailgating at Gillette-West is worth the drive.

He seems friendly enough.

Up close and personal with Mr. Patriot-Blue.

But...is there a dark side to the Blue Man?

What's he doing with that red Buffalo Bills towel?

Make sure that's clean there, Blue Man!

Oh, well, that makes sense.

The beautiful sky over Orchard Park, New York.

It looks a little like Mt. Doom.

Something's interesting in this one.

Chris and Bill are seen here chattin' with the locals.

rumble rumble rumble

These were the not-so-friendlies across the access road from us.   They
were generally well behaved but jealousy can be very, very ugly.

Our humble 2002 tailgating home.

Yeah, this is better than last years cold fried chicken.

We're all Americans first!

You have to admire their loyalty.

Hey, that corpse on your hood is starting to smell.

What's that?  A dead Bill?  The game hasn't even started yet!

What? Smile?

Semi-surprise shot.

BOO!

Doesn't it look kind of haunted or something?

"That's my bad side."

Tom stops for a photo op.

Not that interesting, actually.

A view from "The Ralph".

Bill's looking mischevious.

It's Tom, Chris, Steve and Bill enjoying the slaughter.

A little more interesting.

A view into The Ralph.

Joe Bills Fan.

A nice Bills fan.  Can't remember his name.

Seats in the upper corner.

Goodbye, silly Bills fans!

Steve waves goodbye to the Bills fans as they exit
The Ralph a little earlier than planned.

Row-row-row your boat...

A trickle turned into a stream.

"Norwood, wide right!"

A stream turned into a river.

It's about a bazzilion to seven right now.

The game winds down in favor of the Patriots.

"Dead guy" stadium empties out.

Lights out for the Bills.  Most of the faithful have left sad.   Poor things.

Sad Bills leave the field.

The teams exit the field after the 38-7 defeat of the Bills.

"WE'RE #1!"

Here we are in the back of my truck reminding

the Bills fans exactly who #1 is.

No losers allowed!

Post-game celebration.  You won't see too many Bills fans here.

$2 is more than $1.

Ruined reunion for Bledsoe

Bad news for Bills fans.  The headline reads, "Ruined reunion for Bledsoe".

Nice form, Tom.

OH!  That's gotta hurt.  "...New England whips Bills."  Ouch.

Slippery roads!

We had some rain on the ride home from Buffalo.

I think I'm hydroplaning.

Tommy did some of the driving.  See you in '03!
